Hackney - a second look - Clapton Passage

Clapton Passage, at the north east corner of Clapton Square leading eastward to Lower Clapton Road. The houses on the left known as Holly Villas still existing, were then in the course of construction. The house and wall on the right are now replaced by two-storey houses called Ivy Villas. Date 1882 in summer.
